Apex Solutions (Yorkshire) Ltd – Carbon Reduction Plan Company Overview Apex Solutions (Yorkshire) Ltd is a regional construction and building services contractor specialising in brickwork, plastering, and internal finishing works for residential and commercial projects across the North of England. We are committed to sustainable construction practices and to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2045, five years ahead of the UK Government’s 2050 target. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero Apex Solutions (Yorkshire) Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2045 across all operations, supply chain activity, and project delivery. Our environmental strategy aligns with PAS 2060 (UK standard for carbon neutrality) and the reporting requirements set out in Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21. Carbon Reduction Projects To continue reducing emissions, Apex Solutions (Yorkshire) Ltd is implementing the following measures: Fleet & Transport Replace all diesel vans with hybrid or fully electric vehicles by 2028. Introduce intelligent route-planning and car-sharing initiatives for staff. Energy Efficiency Move all offices and site cabins to 100% renewable electricity suppliers by 2026. Install LED lighting and smart heating controls across office and welfare facilities. Waste & Materials Increase use of recycled aggregates, low-carbon cements, and plaster products. Target 90% of waste diverted from landfill by 2025 through improved on-site sorting. Procurement & Supply Chain Prioritise local suppliers within a 50-mile radius to reduce transport emissions. Require key subcontractors and suppliers to provide annual carbon data by 2026. Digitalisation Implement paper-free project documentation and electronic timesheets, targeting a 90% reduction in paper use by 2025. Employee Engagement Annual sustainability training for all site and office staff. Incentivise green commuting through cycle-to-work and EV-charging schemes. Governance and Reporting Our Carbon Reduction Plan is reviewed annually by the Apex Solutions (Yorkshire) Ltd Senior Management Team. Progress is reported in our Environmental and Sustainability Statement, published every financial year. All calculations follow the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and UK Government conversion factors.
